About

Opera is a web browser developed by the Norwegian company Opera Software, first released in 1995. Known for its innovative features, Opera has introduced several browser technologies that were later adopted by other browsers, such as tabbed browsing, a built-in pop-up blocker, and a bookmark sidebar. Opera has also been one of the first browsers to incorporate a built-in VPN, an integrated ad blocker, and a cryptocurrency wallet.

Opera originally used its own proprietary Presto rendering engine, but in 2013, the browser switched to the Blink engine, which is also used by Chrome. The browser is available on multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Over the years, Opera has continued to focus on performance enhancements, security features, and customization options, distinguishing itself as an alternative for users seeking unique tools and a customizable browsing experience.
